Pebble plans to launch new hardware, software this year


With the debut of the Apple Watch right around the corner, Pebble — which was the first modern smartwatch to hit the market — is also planning to roll out new software and hardware in 2015.

CEO Eric Migicovsky tells The Verge that the new software won’t look like anything currently available.

"It doesn’t look like what we have today, and it doesn’t look like what’s on your smartphone," Migicovsky said.

While he declined to elaborate further on what’s ahead, it’s clear that Pebble wants to stand out amid an increasingly crowded smartwatch market. Read more…
