Line, the company behind the massively popular messaging app of the same name, is breaking its signature stickers and emoji outside of its main app.
The company released a new keyboard app Wednesday called Emoji Line that makes thousands of its emoji and animated stickers available directly in the iOS keyboard.

Line, which has become almost synonymous with its illustrated characters, is most popular in Japan where the app is one of the country’s largest social networks. CEO Jeanie Han says that though the company is known as the “godfather of stickers,” Line has been successful because of its ability to move beyond messaging and stickers alone. The service also allows users to play game inside the app and has its own payments platform. Read more…
